Prestwich Festival 2009 - Find out what’s going on
The inaugural Prestwich Festival has now been launched.
A Festival celebrating Prestwich life was a key promise in the “Prestwich Plan” which was launched by the Prestwich Local Area Partnership (LAP) last year. Now the Festival is really happening, and will run between mid-May and mid-June.
The provisional timetable of events is now available online. As well as the Prestwich Clough Day and the Carnival, which will begin and end the Festival, there is a range of other events taking place. There will be a Farmer’s Market, music, film and dance events, and a “Prestwich has got Talent” event for young people. Festival sponsors have ledged enough money for the LAP to print the programme, and we will be arranging volunteers to deliver programmes to everyone in the area in the coming weeks. If you’d like to help out, please get in touch.
